On Monday 24 November 2025, the Language Café will once again open its virtual doors, inviting students and curious guests to step inside a world of conversation and culture. Hosted in partnership with Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts (FU Dortmund), the online gathering promises a relaxed atmosphere where words flow as freely as coffee in a bustling café.
The event is designed to be as welcoming as it is practical. With separate break-out rooms dedicated to English, French, German and Spanish, participants can slip into the language of their choice and chat informally with others. There’s no exam pressure, no red pen hovering—just the chance to practise, polish and gain confidence in speaking.
A short video introduction (run time: 3:09 minutes) offers a glimpse of the team behind the initiative, underscoring the friendly spirit that drives the project. Our next meet-up will take place on Monday 24 November from 6-7pm. When the appointed hour arrives, attendees need only click the Zoom link to join the conversation and become part of this international community.
