What can human brains tell us about effective eLearning designs?

In a virtual lecture on the topic ‘What can human brains tell us about effective e-learning designs?’, Prof. Colin Conrad of Dalhousie University in Canada will discuss how we can use neurophysiological research to better understand the learning process in humans and the effectiveness of learning materials. The guest lecture will take place as part of the Knowledge Management course and is open to all interested parties. It will be followed by a Q&A session. The lecture and Q&A session will be held in English.


Prof. Colin Conrad researches and teaches in the field of information technology and is currently Associate Professor, Co-Director of the College of Digital Transformation and Principal Investigator of the Cognition and Organisations Research Group at Dalhousie University in Canada. His expertise spans the fields of information systems, computer science and cognitive neuroscience, and he leads novel projects that cross disciplinary boundaries, mostly related to human factors in educational technology or artificial intelligence. In particular, he uses the experiential learning approach in his teaching to foster the next generation of interdisciplinary digital talent in Canada.
