Dr Wai Lau will teach us a thing or two about the land of the rising sun
Join us from 6-7 pm on Monday 13 May when we will host Dr Wai Lau at the online English Café. A specialist in Figuration Sociology based at the University of Manchester, Dr Lau is also a published author. He will give a presentation on how Japanese society took shape between the 8th and 20th centuries. Comments, questions and conversation will crown the evening, so bring your curiosity along when you log into the Zoom meeting. There is no registration process, and anyone who would like to listen to an English language talk and perhaps participate in a discussion is welcome to join in.
