On Friday, 21 November, the FernUniversität in Hagen invites its dedicated students and doctoral candidates to immerse themselves in an evening devoted entirely to the art and craft of academic writing. The Langer Schreibabend promises a vibrant mix of workshops, discussions and focused writing sessions⸺all designed to ignite creativity, sharpen scholarly skills and foster intellectual exchange.
From the comfort of the Schreibzentrum‘s Moodle environment, participants will join a series of Zoom sessions that provide both structure and inspiration. Whether you are beginning a new project, polishing a chapter or striving to bring a manuscript to completion, this online event offers the perfect framework to push forward with confidence.

The programme opens at 3 pm, with the main room welcoming participants for a laid-back start and informal questions. At 6 pm, the official greeting sets the tone, followed by a panel discussion on “Sustainability in Education” led by Frank Wistuba, of BNE:digital NRW and Historian Prof. Felicitas Schmieder.
At 7 pm, Dr Moritz Kohls of studyFIT will lead a workshop on LaTeX, guiding participants through the intricacies of producing academic work with professional precision.
