FernUniversität in Hagen now a British Council affiliate for IELTS

The FernUniversität in Hagen is now a British Council Affiliate for IELTS, meaning that both students and external users can now register for the IELTS exam directly via the FernUni, using this link.

The agreement strengthens the partnership between the British Council and the FernUniversität and further enhances the quality of services offered to students who seek English Learning Support.

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a standardised assessment designed to evaluate English language proficiency.  IELTS is accepted by over 12,500 organisations in more than 140 countries.”  The FernUniversität in Hagen is one of those institutions.

Delving into IELTS
Whether or not you wish to sit the IELTS exam, you will find that taking our IELTS Preparation course is an excellent way to improve your English if you prefer a structured approach to learning.  We offer three concurrent courses:

English B1 – IELTS Preparation Course (Mondays – Group I; Tuesdays – Group II)

English B2 – IELTS Preparation Course (Wednesdays)

English C1 – IELTS Preparation Course (Thursdays – Group I and Group II)

Each course consists of 12 lessons over a three-month period – typically 90 minutes once a week.  The classes are conducted via Zoom and Moodle, and there is a real teacher at the helm.  With a guaranteed small class size, participants can expect to receive personalised feedback.

The lessons focus on the four key language skills, namely speaking, listening, reading and writing.

The next round of courses runs from November (3,4,5,6) until the end of January (26, 27, 28, 29).

The exam for certification is administered by the British Council, and a separate fee is payable to them directly. To register for your IELTS exam, please follow this link.
