IELTS instructor and language teacher İpek Aksu returns to the English Café to explore what so many students experience: overwhelming anxiety when speaking English under pressure. Whether it’s a test, a presentation or just the expectation to express yourself clearly, sometimes nerves take over, and everything you know seems to vanish.
Drawing from her own experience and student feedback, İpek will host an honest, practical conversation on how to stay grounded in high-stress moments. Together with attendees, she’ll explore what happens in our brains and bodies when anxiety strikes, and she will go on to share simple techniques to regulate the nervous system and feel more confident when speaking or writing in English.
